A vibrant, balanced, and enriching experience that shapes confident, compassionate, and capable young leaders.
At Al-Musteqim Model School, we believe the most transformative education happens both inside and outside the classroom. Our rich co-curricular programme develops the whole child β intellectually, physically, spiritually, and socially.
From the moment students arrive in the morning for Fajr-inspired devotion to the time they leave in the afternoon enriched by clubs, sports, and peer interaction, every hour at Al-Musteqim is an opportunity to grow. We are proud of our vibrant school community where every student finds their place, their voice, and their passion.
Our student-centred approach to school life ensures that each student is seen, heard, and supported in everything they pursue β whether they are a budding scientist, an aspiring athlete, a committed memoriser of the Qur'an, or a future business leader.
With over 15 registered clubs and societies, every student can find an activity that sparks their curiosity and builds their confidence.

The Student Council is the democratic voice of the student body. Led by an elected Senior Prefect and a team of deputy prefects, house captains, and class representatives, the Council organises school events, mediates student concerns, and serves as a bridge between students and school management.
Serving on the Student Council is one of the most coveted roles at Al-Musteqim, developing skills in communication, problem-solving, and servant leadership.
Students are organised into four houses β Siddiq (Blue), Farouq (Red), Uthman (Green), and Ali (Yellow) β named after the four rightly guided Caliphs of Islam. Each house competes in academic, sporting, and character events throughout the year.
The house system builds community, loyalty, healthy competition, and a sense of identity that students carry with them long after graduation.
Throughout the year, we invite accomplished alumni, community leaders, entrepreneurs, and Islamic scholars to deliver inspiring talks and workshops to our senior students. These sessions expose students to diverse paths of excellence and help them envision their own futures with clarity and ambition.
We celebrate excellence consistently. The Al-Musteqim Honours Board recognises the top academic performers each term. Annual prize-giving days, the Principal's Award for Character, and subject-specific awards ensure that every form of achievement is valued and celebrated.
We instil in every student a sense of social responsibility, compassion, and the desire to give back to the community that supports them.
Community service is a core component of the Al-Musteqim experience. Each academic year, our students dedicate time, energy, and talent to meaningful projects that benefit Oke-Fomo and the wider Ilorin community.
Every year is filled with memorable events that bring the entire Al-Musteqim community together in celebration of achievement, culture, and faith.
