A comprehensive, rigorous curriculum designed to unlock every student's potential and prepare them for success in Nigeria and beyond.
At Al-Musteqim Model School, we follow the Federal Government of Nigeria's approved curriculum while enriching it with additional content, Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, and 21st-century skills development.
Our academic programme spans six years of secondary education — three years of Junior Secondary School (JSS 1–3) and three years of Senior Secondary School (SSS 1–3). Students follow a broad and balanced curriculum before specialising in their chosen department at the SSS level.
The Junior Secondary level (JSS 1 to JSS 3) provides a broad, general education that helps students discover their academic strengths and interests. All JSS students follow a common curriculum that develops foundational knowledge across subjects.
JSS students sit the Junior WAEC (BECE) examination at the end of JSS 3, which determines their readiness and choice of department at the Senior Secondary level.
At the Senior Secondary level (SS 1–3), students specialise in one of three departments based on their academic strengths and career aspirations. They prepare for the West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) and NECO examinations.
Students are guided by experienced counsellors in selecting their department, ensuring the best academic fit for their future university and career goals.
